Create your account

Create a Rinko Hub account during the closed beta: choose your password on the sign-up form, verify your email with a code, enter the invite code you were given, and reset a forgotten password.

During the closed beta, getting into Rinko Hub takes two things: an account you create yourself, and a closed-beta invite code that admits it. Invite codes are handed out by the Rinko Hub team; signing up does not send you one. You need both before you can download the Nexa CLI or publish a repository. The whole process happens in the browser.

  1. Open Sign up.
  2. Enter your account details and choose your password.
  3. Verify your email address with the code sent to it.
  4. Enter the closed-beta invite code you were given.
  5. Your account is admitted, and you continue to your dashboard.

Create the account and choose your password

Go to Sign up. The form asks for:

  • your first name, an optional middle name, and your last name;
  • a username — how your name is shown — and a handle, the @name used in your profile URL and in owner/repo paths;
  • your email address;
  • a password.

The password you type on this form is your Rinko Hub password. There is no later step that sets it, and no email with a "set your password" link is coming. If the password is too weak, the form tells you and asks for a stronger one.

Before you can submit, review and accept the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. Then choose Register your interest.

Note: When do I create my password?

On the sign-up form, in the same step as your name and email. It is the only place a password is ever set: you then use it to sign in on the website, including when the Nexa CLI sends you to the browser to authorize a machine.

Verify your email

After you submit the form, the page changes to Check your email, and a verification code is sent to the address you entered. Type the code in and continue. Your account is created at this point — not before — and you are signed in.

If you made a mistake in the address, Use a different email takes you back to the form.

Enter your invite code

Once your email is verified you are signed in and land on You're on the list. Enter the closed-beta invite code you were given. It admits your account to the closed beta, and each code can only ever be used once.

Until a code is redeemed, signing in brings you back to this page, and CLI downloads stay locked. If you don't have a code, your account stays ready: once you are given one, sign in and enter it. About the Closed Beta explains how access works.

Signing in later

Use Sign in with your email and the password you chose at sign-up. If you closed the page before verifying your email, signing in asks for the verification code first.

Forgot your password?

Use the Forgot password? link on the sign-in page. Enter the email address you signed up with and choose Send reset instructions. For your privacy the page gives the same answer whether or not that address has an account.

  1. Open the reset email and follow its link. The link works once and expires after about 15 minutes.
  2. Choose a new password and confirm it. The same password rules as sign-up apply: at least 10 characters, with a mix of upper and lower case, a number and a symbol.
  3. Sign in with the new password. The old one stops working immediately, and everywhere your account was signed in is signed out — every browser, on any device, and every machine where you ran nexa login. Run nexa login again on the machines you use.

If the link has expired, request a new one. If the email never arrives, or you still can't get in, email the team at contact@nexaji.com.

Your password and the CLI

The Nexa CLI never asks for your Rinko Hub password. nexa login opens the browser, and you sign in there — see Authorize your machine.

Note: “Encrypted profile fallback passphrase”

On a machine with no system keychain, nexa login may ask for a fallback passphrase. This is not your account password. It is a local passphrase you make up, used only to encrypt the credential stored on that machine. Set NEXA_PROFILE_PASSPHRASE to supply it without a prompt.

Next step

With your invite code redeemed, install the Nexa CLI.
